At about 12.45 today G-KIMM leapt off the ground, after an
incredibly short run, in the more than capable hands of Peter Jeffers. She
was back 20mins later with no reported problems, Peter, most kindly, being
very complimentary about the way she flies.
My thanks go, of course, to Andy Draper and all at Europa, to
Francis Donaldson and the P.F.A., and to my inspectors David Kent and David
Hunter. My sincerest thanks, as well, to fellow Europa builders [and now
good friends!] Nigel Charles, Gerry Holland and David Joyce for all their
help and encouragement.
KIMM is a monowheel XS with a rotax 912S engine and an Airmaster CS
prop, weighing in at a rather portly 826lbs.
The feeling of elation is indescribable!!.
