I also finished mine today and agree with Gerry.
Check that your new tubes are the same length as the old ones that you
remove. I found out (the hard way) that my replacement was about half an
inch longer and I had to take it out, shorten and drill a new hole in the
end of it.
Also, adjust the screw on the lower tube so that is also exactly the same
length as the original, otherwise you have to take it out yet again to
adjust it. On mine, one turn of the screw made about one inch change in
the height of the balance weight.
