| My guess as to the weight saving of a perfect vac bagged part against a perfect hand layup Europa ( Burt Rutan ) part is about 10 %. ie 20% of the resin saved. Vac Bagging will give a more accurate and stronger part. When I am making layups I measure out the glass, fold it up and weigh it add 15% and that's the amount of resin I weigh out. Works every time.
