>>I've been finding the Q&A's on this list extremely interesting and helpful,
but would welcome seeing some of the earlier correspondence from when people
were building their tails. Is there an archive?<<
Just in case any other people were wondering how to get to the archive I thought
it would be a good time to remind people how to get at the archives and what is
in them.
In order to REQUEST the list to execute a command you must send your command
messages to the europa-request@avnet.co.uk address. The subject does not matter,
it is in the body of the message where you put your commands. The commands that
the list software understands are :-
info europa (Information about the europa list)
who europa (Returns all subscribers e-mail addresses)
index europa (Returns a list of files in the archive)
get europa xxxxxx.xxx (Returns file xxxxxx.xxx)
To save you the trouble of sending an index command, these are the files that
are currently in the archive.
The Europa Mailing List Index of Archived Files.

If you have any information you would like to contribute to the file archive,
please mail it to me, Peter Thomas at 100335.3566@compuserve.com. (PLEASE !)

It's as simple as that. Don't forget the easiest way to read the archive is by
visiting the Europa Web pages at avnet. Every month Monu from Avnet creates web
versions of the archives. Just tune you web browser to ...
http://avnet.co.uk/europa
and follow the links.
I hope this has helped clarify the archive question.
As yet no one has come up with any questions for the speakers at Doncaster. I
guess this means all your questions have been answered just by reading the
messages from the list <g>
I have come up with a presentation for Doncaster. It is basically a rolling
powerpoint slide show aimed at explaining what the list is about to none users.
Hope to see lots of you there.
Best Wishes
