Aileron and Flap Closeouts

You can tell what stage my wing kit is at now! It strikes me that on the outer
-and to a lesser extent the inner - closeouts on the ailerons and flaps, it
would be cleaner aerodynamically if they were stuffed with foam, trimmed and
finished flush with two plies of bid (with floxed corners) a la tailplane tab.

Anyone done this already?
