Ah but that was no doubt due to the frame(s) you had to put round to make 
more than one copy. For a one-off its pretty quick - just sandbag the 
structure to hold it in shape on top, tape or strap it underneath.

BTW, did you do the flaps too ?  If so, must have a weird aerodynamic 
effect when down eh? Inboard fences !
