What exactly did you treat your metal parts with, and of the builders under your wing, what have they done? Most of us sent our parts to an aviation approved anodiser. However Charlie Laverty (60) did his using Alodine, then paint. Charlie points out that (a) it's important to do it warm and (b) if you plan to use etch primer it won't work on top of Alodine. Or anodising I guess.Some Etch primers need heat too apparently. Graham |
