The original tanks were bigger, and had a capacity of 80 litres.  They
originally had the top orifices on the same side, and then we did one batch
only with the vent opposite the filler.

Subsequently, to make them easier to fit, we reduced the width slightly and
made a few other changes.  The result is the current tank, which has a
gross capacity of 70 litres - if you deduct the volume of the filler hose
as the unusable fuel allowance, and then put it back again by filling to
the top, you finish up with 70 litres useable.

There is an auxiliary portable tank design on the way - sits in the bottom
of the luggage bay with fittings which enable a siphon into the main tank.
