Not sure why it needs to be behind a door. I have just installed a
prototype add-on float gauge whose angle sensor sits inline with the
elephants trunk just behind the tank inlet. It is an epoxy moulding and
Stage 2 will involve a right angle bend to join with a standard filler cap
in the fuselage side. Production this year mebbe - but if you don't need
the gauge, why not just use the hose to get there ?
