Read your comments on Narco 810. I have on going problems with an 810
+ R which I used to replace a Com 120 [big mistake].I am on my third
radio under warranty and Chief Aircraft here in Oregon have sent all
their 810 units back to Narco this week, they checked all their stock of
810 units and found them all sub standard.
It appears that the units were not designed to work with a speaker load
in the system, with the speaker coupled the sine wave goes to hell in a
hurry,I'm not an electrical person, strictly mechanical so don't know
what the problem is ,and Narco say they are trying to solve this,my
radio has been back with them over two weeks and they promised me a new
unit, but evidently the new unit also has problems at the factory! In the
meantime Chief Radio gave me a NEW radio ,straight out of the box, from
the batch they were sending back to Narco, this one doesn't work either!
To any one contemplating buying Narco I would say use caution, buy only
the ones without problems!!
