Thanks Roger for your comments and yes I did include my question in a piece
about the new tailwheel but I still do not have an answer to what I thougt
was a simple question of general interest to most Europa builders ie. what
is the theory of the design which you referred to in your note above. In
particular why is the control bar on the tailwheel set back from the turning
axis of the tailwheel This has the effect of slackening the control wires
in all but the straight ahead position which is where I for one thought we
were trying to soften the authority of the pedals? I am not criticising the
design I just would like to try and understand it. For instance, what is
happening like why do we put stops on the wheel pivot at 60 degrees and then
provide leaverage to turn the wheel only 30 degrees. Ron S No33
