Aero Developments at Kemble are working with a Swiss manufacturer and the PFA to
gain approval for a carbon fibre Taild-ragger undercarriage installation for
the Europa.
The final details are now being assessed by the PFA and we expect approval to
convert
the first Europa very shortly.
The conversion is quite straight forward to complete and has the following
advantages
over the Mono-wheel:
Lighter weight - approx 15 - 20 lbs.
Easier ground handling
Differential brakes
Electric flap option
Cut-away tunnel for extra room
Easier rigging and de-rigging (Stands up on its own)
Extra baggage space/fuel capacity

Subject: Tri-Gear Europa
Good day to you all
I think I heard or read some months ago that someone in Britain is building his
own version of a main landing gear ( legs ) using composite material ( carbon
fiber or kevlar ) .
Has anyone more specific information on this, and where to find this builder?
Thanks & regards
