Have you heard that Public TV, will be airing a program called "Plane
Crazy" on Wednesday, July 22 at 8:00 PM? I haven't seen the program, but
is going to done by Bob Cringely, a fellow I read regularly on the PBS.ORG
(i cringely) a column about computers. I also recorded off public TV a 3
hour program he did on the history of the PC/Macintosh (Triumph of the
Nerds) which was excellent.
This program is going to be THREE hours and is being described as follows:
Bob Cringely, computer industry gossip columnist, trades his silicon chips
for spruce, fiberglass and glue as he attempts to design, build and fly a
plane in 30 days-and live.
The August Kitplanes magazine has a full article on Bob Cringely and this
3-hour program.

PS, I emailed Bob regarding his program as this was his reply:
Dear Dee,
No, the series hasn't been shown in the U.S. before. It ran last summer in
England but that's all. I can promise you that it is unlike any aviation
show you have ever seen. Whether that is good or bad will have to be your
call. But see it through straight to the end before you make up your mind.
Is that mysterious enough?
All the best,
Bob
