Oshkosh feedback part 1

I spent some time digging out answers to most of the questions asked on the
group. This is the first of a few emails....

>>> 1.  Newsletters - why aren't we getting them?

I have had several conversations with _all_ levels of staff at europa on this
one. If the assurances I received are correct then we should be seeing more
regular updates.

>>>> 2. Changes in the works - why not notify builders that an area is under
consideration for modification and the reasons and time frame.

I have been assured that as items become an issue then they will be brought
to builders attention. One thing that was suggested was why not simply
contact Europa when you are about to embark on one of the major segments and
they will very quickly let you know of any issues.

>>>> 3. The company could and should make much better use of the internet.

I think Roger's feedback to this group this week is an indication that this
aspect of Europa's technical support is underway.

>>>> 4. The manual sorely needs some pictures, especially in the section on
installing the engine and routing things in the tunnel.

The feedback was appreciated and any suggestions for improvement are always
welcome.

>>>> 5. The manual is the main way information is provided to the builders by
the company.

You can do this at any time by dropping a note to Andy or Roger at
Kirkbymoorside.

>>>> 6. A FAQ file should be made available by the factory addressing
questions which builders have posed to them which are not yet covered in the
manual.

Lakeland are looking at this.

7. I have written the factory and the net asking how the ventilation/heating
system should be configured for best operation.

There is a _very_ good system installed on a Europa in Canada and I am hoping
that the builders in question will forward details for publishing on my site.
One of the issues with heating/ventilation is that the heating and regulatory
requirements change from country to country.
