I would appreciate any reports on propellers used with the Europa, in
particular the Arplast cockpit adjustable or electronic constant speed. I am
considering the 914 engine but to maximize cruise speed apparently a variable
pitch is a must because of the take-off rpm requirement (the prop has to be
pitched so that rpm is sufficient at take-off for the turbo to kick-in - I
think its 5500). This means that maximum possible cruise speed cannot be
achieved with the 914 unless you have a variable pitch prop.
I intend to use the plane for cross-county in the US so of course I want
SPEED, SPEED, SPEED!!!!
Any feedback would be appreciated.
