A friend of mine was flying his Rotax 912 powered Ximango motor glider
across Australia from east on delivery to the west last week. The engine
ran roughly and operated only at reduced power.
After a landind at a field in South Austalia he checked fuelflow and
measured 15 lph, with air bubbles in the fuel. He fixed a leaking fuel
valve and measured 30 lph, but the engine was still rough. Perhaps it is a
carburetter problem. The carby pistons move OK.
Any ideas?
