I have a handheld (which hinges down from the roof  panel)   for VOR when
needed,  and could almost do without being mixed in, but it is, permanently
for ident and backup comms.   It's also very useful for VOLMET - you know for
sure what is receiving so it's "no to lights" (maybe) ? (:-))
