Don't forget that not wiring in parallel applies to earth return as well as
+12v. I know of a case where an engine fired started because the builder had
laid a second ( small ) wire in parallel to a large wire. The connector on
the large wire failed and the small wire overheated and filled the cockpit
with smoke.
