"Ensure there is a gap between the top tube and the fuselage structure of at least 5mm". Question is: how can it be 5mm, when we've been told to position the frame 1.5 to 3mm away from the firewall? << I assume what is meant is that the top tube should be 3mm horizontally away ---From the firewall, It will also be 3 mm vertically from the top face of the tunnel and because of the radius there will be just enough room for the shock cord.
