Cheers, all:
I have taken to heart the admonition regarding possible excessive
wear on the aileron/wing hinge area - added a layup or two to the hinge
area and extended the hinge length to spread the latent stress. Having
fouled up the spacing on the aileron flange so that there is little room
to extend the hinge, I am now confronted by a change in blind rivet
specs in order to acknowledge a thicker flange.
This brought me to considering the specs for these fasteners and
the discovery that those advertised in Aircraft Spruce bear no relation
to the "TPLK"-like terms in the Europa parts lists. These I expect are
the nomenclature for Tucker Rivets, but they don't exactly coincide with
the Europa desigs.
I have an "Interchangeability of Canadian and British Blind Rivets
(Countersunk Heads)" table.....and will be happy to divulge its contents
should anyone wish it. HOWEVER it doesn't correlate specs. of what I
presume are the U.S. designators sufficiently to be of use. In addition,
neither the four suggested Bingelis books nor the U.S. FAA 43.13 make
any mention of equivalent values.
THEREFORE can any one tell me where to acquire the tables so I can
order AN or Cherry rivets per Aircraft Spruce which will give me equal
part numbers?
