But that's what the compass correction card is for, right? (For N, steer
180, For E, steer 180, etc.).
Seriously, I have checked mine, and it's safe to within 6 inches of the
compass, closer yet at some angles. I've seen where an engine mount, 2 feet
---From a compass, can mess it up beyond correction. The mount can magnetize
over time; maybe it's the starter/ground cables secured thereto.
