I am very concerned with the problem of high
temperatures in cockpit because I will fly in Spain. I am planing to=A0
install an isolating blanket, fire resistant, in the engine side of
firewall. This will isolate the cockpit from heat and also noise. Has
anybody taken this solution?

Xavier, a lot of hot air from the cowling can leak through the many gaps
in the firewall, (stainless steel) and this enters the undercarriage
tunnel and then leaks into the cabin.
I have a phenolic firewall which does not have gaps and so does not allow
hot air to get into the cabin.
