I am slightly worried, having spent so
>long on the wings, about cutting the old bushes out of the spar and even
>more concerned about bonding the new ones in properly aligned.
With the instructions and alignment block provided, swapping the bushings is
not a difficult job. You can do all of the work in a few hours and if you
follow the instructions you'll end up with everything aligned quite easily.
If you are flying in the UK then you'll have to do all parts of the mod per
the documentation to get clearance from the PFA to increase your MAUW. The
only bit I haven't done is install the anti twisting cuffs around the spars
as these are only effective at very high g ratings and I don't want to
modify the trailer - which you have to do if the cuffs are fitted.
The balance design provided by Europa is fine for Redux, just mark a new
location on the long arm at the appropriate ratio.
