D-EUPA (#271) does not fly yet, but she has taken a major hurdle. Here in Germany, we have to do a load test - the fuselage will be turned upside down, properly supported, and wings attached. Than each wing will be loaded with 1035 kg or 2290 lb ! (roughly equivalent to a compact car loaded with 2 adults and a child !) The wing tips went down by 34cm, the wooden supports made some scary noises, but I'm happy to report that everything went ok! Norbert #271 |
