Hi Glenn,
Welcome to the gang. Tools stores here are pretty good by the standards
I remember in the UK but that has changed to some degree since I left in
1973. Anyway, I recommend you try the following :-
Sears- good quality hand tools, spanners (wrenches to you US types),
gidgets, gadgets, etc.
K-Mart - some tools but medium quality and not good selection, not
strong recommendation
Home Depot - national chain of home improvement DIY stores, good
selection of good quality hand tools, clamps, blades., you name it.
Lowes - ditto
Office Max, Staples, Office Depot - all very similar office supply
stores. They usually stock digital postal scales, battery powered.
Resolution is 1 gm which is plenty fine enough for Europa epoxy work.
You can rewire them with a cheap 9 volt DC adapter to operate from an AC
outlet. Cover top plate and base with foil or plastic to stop goo
getting in the works !
Cheers, John Wigney
