europa-pva release agent

the pva realese agent appears to be clear and therefore difficult to be
sure if it is fully removed.
i have tried scrubbing with an abrasive pad/hot water but some
'cellophane' like elements remain
some builders seem to use vinigar. would it be possible to dye the pva
say billiant vermillion or similar
so that one could be sure that it is fully removed
