Troy < Hi Troy At the moment the face of the flap overlaps firmly against a rebate. The hinge part is excluded from the rebate opening so that water doesn't find its way past the hinge. If the overlap fails to exclude water I will cut a small gully in the rebate skin and fill it with a rubber or silicone seal which just stands proud of the rebate surface. I got the idea from the French Jodel aircraft. Their flap is a little further forward near the top of the windscreen which picks up the airflow better. That position was not very practical in the Europa due to the door hinges. However even if I only get 10% of the airflow of the Jodel system that will be more than enough. I will bring details to Sun 'n' Fun if you like? Regards Nigel Charles |
