I spoke with Joan Cooper by phone last night, just after she had come
home from visiting Graham. She was pleasantly surprised to find
Graham out of bed, sitting in a chair. The regime is to get patients
mobile as soon as possible. Graham was pleased to be up, but he is
very weak, and the movement caused some pain. He's had quite a lot of
visitors, and is very happy to see them, but some days the large
number of visitors has left him very tired. Please respect Graham's
limited stamina, particularly if you're planning to visit at the
weekend when more visitors are expected.
On days when there are no visitors, it can get tedious; moves are
afoot to get a laptop computer to him so he can get online in person
again. (Several options are being considered, but if anyone here has
an internet-capable laptop that is currently idle and could be
loaned, please speak up!)
