I have one of those stall warners and it works fine however:
The unit is wired so that +12v is taken to the vane for sitching so for
people like me who de-rig all the time the plug between the wing and
fuselage can be live which means I have blown three fuses to date.
I think it would have been better to switch using the -ve!
I have to say also that I am less than happy about the effect on the
aerofoil.
I have been looking at putting a low pressure pick up on my wing which I
think is in line with the Europa factory thinking. I hope to have
something to test in about 4 weeks. It would be a lot cheaper to make
than the American AOA indicator is to buy and less obtrusive than Alan
Cozens unit which is very affordable.
A couple of my friends (customers) have bought the Angle of Attack
Indicators from the States. People have been very impressed with the one
that's flying and so I have been peursuaded to become a dealer. I dont
hold any stock yet but I am told delivery is very quick. Price is 890
dollars + shipping and VAT for the sport version which seems the most
popular.

Subject: carb heat
Hi everbody
Anybody in the process of fitting your 912/ 912s/
instrument panel, and maybe considering the carb heat kit from skydrive
with the factory cold air box, be sure NOT to put anything through the
firewall that may get in the way.Having followed the subject I decided
to do the mod and was lucky.I have also added a Alan Cozens stall warner
to the port wing on G-OKEV tri-gear and it works very well plus its
affordable.
Build well, fly
safe.
Regards
Kevin
