Thanks for your reply - will check for play but I am fairly sure there is
none.
One more question though. Most of our aileron rod ends are from the "tight
batch". We should have returned them to Europa for replacement but instead
we made do. We freed them up in a drill but they seem to tighten up again
after about six months (probably the grease drying up). The other thing we
found is that grease seems to make them worse (even with graphite). Light
oil seems to be the best. At the moment we are trying WD40 but will have to
check whether it dosent dry out and make things worse. The other possibility
is 3 in one oil. Any suggestions ???
Failing that we might have to consider replacing all the rod ends (12 in
total). Any idea what the cost of these is (roughly).
