Hi Chris,
My build partner, David DeFord, and I are building
the short wing XS, but also have our long wings on
order. We placed our order fairly early, but are not
sure of our position in the waiting list. We probably
won't be flying until late this year with the short
wings and early next for the long.
It would be interesting to keep in touch with other
long wing builders (especially those ahead of us
in the build process). Since you may be the first to see
the long wing kit, please let us know when you get
yours and what you think of the kit.
We have designed a micro processor based
instrument for our plane that includes a total
energy vario, for use in the mg phase of flights.
That screen will also include a voltmeter with
audible alarm on low volts, an important feature
on a plane whose engine does not windmill and
can therefore only be restarted with electric start.
