Finally our Europa took to the air from Cambridge flown by John Brownlow on 
Friday 13 October.What gave
us added satisfaction is that he judged it one of the nicest Europas he has 
flown. The stall characteristics
flaps up and down were benign, right on speed with plenty of pre-stall 
buffet, so that stall stips will not be required. All controls were light 
and responsive and the aircraft was perfectly stable in all axis. The elec. 
trim
was very effective.
Sandy and I are permanently moving to France on 22 November. Because we 
spent a lot of time there during the last year neither of us has flown since 
last November ( apart from the 1.5 hours in our Europa last Saturday of 
course ). To our shame we found we did not miss flying at all. We have both 
decided
to give up flying and concentrate all our efforts on our earthbound life in 
the Dordogne, the improvement of our considerable acreage there and some 
good walking holidays in a few remote parts of this world.
The aicraft and covered trailer therefore are  for sale. It comes with a 
full I.R.panel which perhaps is a bit superfluous in a permit to fly 
aircraft but which may amuse anybody who occasionally likes to practise 
flight in IMC. It also has a colour Skyforce GPS. Being kit no.8 it is of 
course a basic monowheel with a 912UL engine and ground adjustable warpdrive 
prop. Weight is a rather heavy 848 lbs but can be reduced
to up to 25 lbs. Price to be determined after I sort out a problem with the 
Stitts paint system I used.
