It's a "page definition file" from Adobe. Adobe Acrobat allows you to lay
out pages and then publish them via .pdf files. You can read them using the
Acrobat reader mentioned by Chris below, but they can not be altered. They
are popular for producing downloadable brochures, manuals, magazines, etc.
