Yes Graham, I was "shocked" to hear of such a "cooling" thing thing
especially when you consider aerobatics in Pitts etc.
Successfully preventing it is a comfort to many however.
Long EZEs are a very effective cooling design because of augmentation.
PTAG buddy - I don't suppose there is sooo much bypass air from your ram
scoop that the cooling is affected?
Is there a problem with using that little bit of boost for power at altitude
etc.?
Do you have a manifold pressure gauge installed?
I'd be curious as to just what kind of boost might be gained.
