Gas valve

I am not happy with the location of the gas valve, down next to the
right hip of the pilot.  A very accessible place might be of the front
side ot the thigh rest or maybe on the passenger side.  I don't want to
put it some place to later discover it's in the way of something else.
Could I get some suggestion of good alternate locations?  I do believe
it should stay as low as possible.
