Dear All, I thought that I should pitch in on one certain detail regarding gap sealing the flaps. The gap between the flap and the wing is a diverging duct from bottom to top which is important to ensure airflow attachment over the flap top surface. Provided that any seal you install doesn't convert this gap into a converging or closed duct, as a nylar sliding seal would do, then you shouldn't affect its function. Kind regards Andy Draper Technical Director |
