The first thing that I would look at is the friction setting of the torsional
vibration
damper. (Interestingly sometimes known as a "dog clutch"). If this gets
below the limit the symptoms you describe will occurr. See Rotax Service
Bulletin
6UL97 and also newsletter 28 page 11 for some more useful information on
his subject.
If you don't find this to be the problem you might check the idle jets for
contamination.
Whatever you do, don't allow this condition to go on as it could cause
damage to othe components.
