I think it's the same effect that causes all US-originated books to
cost the same number of pounds over here as they did in dollars over
there ...
Maybe there just haven't been enough exports from UK to USA to make
people over there aware of the strange effect a transatlantic
transposition has on prices, but believe me, we know about it over
here!
