An aside:
Back in a former life, I was a Army pilot and we flew some Cessna 310's whose
military designation was U2A. When we radioed for landing instructions at Air
Force bases they would routinely ask: "Type of aircraft please?" When we
replied U2A, there was invariably a pause, and then: "please repeat type of
aircraft!"
