corrosion protection - engine mount

More on corrosion - any thoughts on acceptable paint / finishing for
engine mounts ? We are in a maritime environment here in W Scotland.

In other contexts I have found Hamerite (R) to be a good coating
(available as spray applic) - but I understand that some finishes
render later crack detection procedures more difficult
