Is that a garden variety lead acid battery? Sounds like either a
quality problem or some unwitting in-service abuse as Eddie has
suggested. They have high internal resistance compared to recombinant
gas types (like the Odyssey). It may be the extra cost of the latter
might be a cheaper in the long run. What at least the product
literature says!
