LED Lights...you don't 'need' the cannisters, they were used just to put the LED's and resistors into something. For a 3v ANR supply I'd use the following.... LM2940T-12 Low voltage drop out 12v regulator feeding a LME1212S 250mW DC to DC converter or NME1212S 1W Dc to DC converter feeding a LP2986IM30 3v regulator (any of the 3v regulators will do. Just check if it's 3v or 3.3v you need. just change the regulator as required.
