Thanks to all who replied to my query - I finally got a quote of 1850 with
200 return if no claim at the year end from Clowes - the higher sum
possibly reflect a claim the previous year and my age 70.

My 912 Ban-bi with VP prop has gone up form 1250 to 1295 but I have got a
new quote from another insurer for 1150 including taxes. Sum assured though
is only 35k which is about what it cost rather than what its worth, which
of course is priceless.
