Mark,
With the glider wings it does feel like a glider. I would think you could 
fly it without the outriggers relatively easily. With the short wings not 
really. Much more lively in yaw. I found the trick was to use large amounts 
of rudder, in short doses as and when required. It was important to let the 
rudder neutralise between each bootful.
Probably helped to neutralise the mind too?!?
