I also made the unfortunate decision to purchase the @#$%
&* Goldwing light
kit, and the lenses do indeed conform to the XS wing tip. However, if what
you are calling "mask patterns" are the plastic approximations of the wing
tip itself (with lines hand drawn on masking tape to indicate the cut lines)
supplied by @#$%
&* Goldwing, I would suggest tossing them and using any
other method to determine the actual shape of the wing tip. I'm still
incredulous that @#$%
&* Goldwing had the audacity to refer to these as
templates! If Europa will not supply the necessary data, it is a
relatively simple matter to use a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to
digitize the shape using an actual wing tip (preferably not yet bonded to
the rest of the wing!) or the cutouts made in order to fit the lights. If
the cutouts are wanted, mine are available.

Subject: Re: Acrylic wing tip lenses
Hi! Paul.
I have lenes from the original Goldwing Strobe KIT . They were for the MKI
Wings and I Have them fitted . However I could well imagine that a couple of
spares would be good to have on the shelf.
With them were a couple of mask patterns I'm wondering if they would be any
assistance to your contact? Of course I don't know if they are common to the
XS wing tip? I will be attending Oshkosh and could arrange to have them with
me. (I would wish to have them back though)

Subject: Acrylic wing tip lenses
Hi All,
I contacted LP Aero in Florida earlier this week asking if they would be
interested in manufacturing acrylic lenses to go on the wing tips.
George indicated he would be interested in setting up a mould and making
these if their was enough demand. I do not know what the cost would be,
however I'd like to canvass the forum to see how much interest their would
be. Could you send me and indication of interest, no commitment required
at this stage.
