Anybody try these phones out, either at SunNFun or on their own? Neat idea.
The
phones contain digital signal processing algorithms that detect strongly tonal
noise
in the typical range of prop slap (50-500Hz) and adaptively cancel it. Supposed
to
reduce prop noise ( the major noise in a light aircraft ) by an additional 20 dB
over
the best analog ANR headsets, which work at higher frequencies. Total possible
-
50dB at 90 Hz ( the frequency of a two-bladed prop turning 2700 RPM ).
$800, but if they really work...
