My name is Francis de Beer, living at present in Devon, England (although that
may change), and, although I've been a member of the Europa Club for a few
years,
I've only recently been subscribing to the Forum. And very interesting,
if sometimes confusing, it is too.
I'm in my mid-sixties, retired and only recently have I been able to think about
acquiring that dream you are all working so hard to achieve - a flying Europa.
My difficulty is that I have no facilities to build and that I could well
run out of medical before any project started from scratch is complete. This
suggests the purchase route which is a definite option. A further complication
is that I am 6 ft. 4 ins. tall which precludes the Classic because I cannot
achieve full deflection of the ailerons - knees in the way. Funny, I fitted
into the back of a Canberra - just - all those years ago.
That suggests an XS or a Classic with XS cockpit mods possibly. Anyone with a
complete version, preferably a Mono, who unaccountably is thinking of selling,
