Folks,

Im trying a reply to a message as the message I sent to the group doesn't
appear to have been delivered. Nothing new there, this is extremely
frustrating!!

CLIPPED""

Just to let you know I am now the owner of my very own Europa at last! GOURO

I have bought a trigear which has done 350 hours and it is immaculate with a
beautiful panel and equipment on board, and delightful suede trim.

On the downside (for some) it has a Subaru engine fitted which makes it
heavy and my preference would have been a Rotax. I am prepared to give the
engine a go and see how I get on with it. It has had its problems in the
past with the engine and output module but hopefully now the remedial action
should have corrected it. (fingers crossed) On a positive note the engine
does purr along very quietly and smoothly and with the VP prop it leaps off
the ground.

Unfortunately when I went to collect it the weather was crap so Im off again
this Friday(6 hour train journey!)from Yorkshire to Southampton.

I got a few circuits in and it handles like a dream very smooth and
responsive. I have a grin from ear to ear.

Time now for lots of reading and a very steep learning curve on the
technicalities of the Europa and build/maintence etc.

See you all at the next Europa fly ins.

Kevin (East Yorks UK)

PS Since writing I have done a couple of further hours over the weekend and
am delighted with the engine so far. It is very responsive and smooth.

I had this problem recently, which I suspected as the oil pressure sender,
which was quickly confirmed in the next few hours of operation when the oil
pressure readout suddenly started rapidly fluctuating from normal up to
90+lbs. I replaced the sender last month and have cured both problems at
once.
Sorry for the delay, I have been stuck down in Cornwall for 3 days with
cloud on the deck. Just got back.
