On a similar note, pnwaero.com has an interesting website on vortex
generators.
Claims are a 3-6 knot reduction in stall speed, no difference in cruise
and a 0-4 knot reduction in top speed.
Probably not too much use on a europa wing, unless the stall speed is a
problem, when VG's may perhaps be a better option than fitting stall
strips to the leading edges with i believe a 3-4 knot top speed penalty
