Europa-List: Painting around the windows

For those of you that have painted your plane, what have you done around the 
windows?
I have seen a builder that applied a single layer of bid on the door frame
overlapping onto the plexiglass window by about 1/2" which in turn covered
the exposed redux.  This was later filled and sanded and subsequently painted.
The look was great but it seemed to be a lot of work.  What have others done?
